This was another successful IIDR Trainee Day for the Burrows Lab! PhD candidate Luke Yaeger was awarded the prestigious Michael Kiley Scholarship in Antibiotic Resistance. PhD candidates Nathan Roberge and Ikram Qaderi and undergrads Nathan Yuen, Isabelle Chan, and Yaser Al Moayad all presented posters. Congrats to Nathan Y for winning best undergraduate poster and Isabelle for winning runner up. Our own Veronica Tran co-chaired this year's event! Reading the recap of IIDR Trainee Day on the Burrows Lab blog really brought home how meaningful it is when people step up, present their work, face feedback, and grow in the process. It made me reflect on moments when the path seemed too heavy and I thought about using an online exam help service just to get through. But this story reminds me that the deeper value comes when we show up ourselves present our work, confront the challenge, and walk away with something we earned, learned from and own fully.

I really enjoyed reading about the success of the Burrows Lab’s event and how everyone came together to present and celebrate research milestones. It reminded me that when there’s a strong community and clear goals, learning feels more meaningful. That’s why I’m considering leveraging the WGU course help service so I can keep pace with my studies while actively engaging in teamwork and growth like you described.
