Dr. Ryan Buensuceso, a former PhD student in the Burrows lab, has moved on to an exciting new career in scientific communications, presaged by his foray into the finals of the 3 Minute Thesis competition and work as the Graduate Student Rep for the Canadian Society of Microbiologists. Ryan made important contributions to our understanding of how P. aeruginosa controls twitching motility in response to various cues, and became the lab’s microscopy guru. He was an enthusiastic member of the BBS Graduate Student Association and the lab’s Secret Santa planner for many years. We’ll certainly miss his cheery personality and interesting hats, but wish him all the best as he moves on in his career.
