Lori was honoured today with the 2017 Award for Outstanding Service from the McMaster University Faculty Association. This award is “given annually to a nominated candidate who has affected the University, enhanced its reputation, provided excellent service and demonstrated innovation. Burrows was recognized by the award committee for her extensive service as McMaster’s Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) University Delegate since 2012, her service to CIHR as a grant application reviewer and panel chair and her social media engagement with researchers across the globe.” Great thanks go to Deb Sloboda who submitted the nomination, and the other faculty members from McMaster and beyond who wrote letters of support.
